Fabrizio wants to share his own experience. Specifically, he would like to talk about his professional growth and why in the end he desired to be a SRE. He would show how he achieved his goal and which University’s courses became useful in his professional career.
He wants to demonstrate that joining a big Tech in industry is not so unattainable as a student might think.
About the speaker
Fabrizio Waldner was born in Trento in 1990. After 3 years of bachelor and 2 years of master’s degree, he became graduated in Engineering of Telecommunications at the University of Trento in 2015.
After a few months he found a job as Unix System Administrator in Phoenix Informatica Bancaria spa (then Allitude spa) in Trento. After 5 years of work he realized the idea of becoming a Site Reliability Engineer and he looked for a job in this direction.
Since August 2020, he has been working as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Google.
